Effect of additional foods and Feeding Ratio on Some Growth Indicators of fish Ctenopharyngodon idella

Abstract

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of the use of additional foods and feed ratios for the herbella iden Ctenopharyngodon on some growth indicators in plastic ponds. Fish were distributed on the three treatments. The ratio of the three treatments was (T1) 5{8aa0d92a9d700de00931fb59e75e46e902b43698544c97f28f7bec3700555d1d} of the body weight and the second treatment (T2) 8{8aa0d92a9d700de00931fb59e75e46e902b43698544c97f28f7bec3700555d1d} of the body weight and the third treatment (T3) 10{8aa0d92a9d700de00931fb59e75e46e902b43698544c97f28f7bec3700555d1d} of the body weight, One tub is 70 liters of water. The fish of the three treatments were fed on the same locally produced commercial diet. The study showed that the best growth indicators were obtained in the second treatment, which was fed to a feeding ratio of 8{8aa0d92a9d700de00931fb59e75e46e902b43698544c97f28f7bec3700555d1d} Fish weight We conclude that feed and feed additives can be used to feed carp fish for their good weight gain by feeding on additional foods.

Hydrological characteristics and pollution sediment of wslaibat depression south Iraq

Abstract

This study was conducted on Slaibat depression in Southern Iraq between longitude 45º34´, 45º52 ‘and   Latitude 30º50´, 30º59´, it located between the provinces of Muthanna and Dhi Qar. The result showed that the contribution of wells Al-Ouda and Al-Ghazi in the feeding of the depression. In addition to the contribution of the Valleys, that Slope towards the depression, with different water revenues from one valley to another, with a total of 0.506 billion m3 annually. The results of the Climatic water balance showed that the depression suffers water deficit during most year months, however, water surplus has been concentrated during November, December to February. The sediments were characterized by nuteral pH slightly to moderate. Sediments were characterized during the autumn by the highest concentration lead and cadmium (22.49 and 1.76 mg kg -1 respectively), while sediments, which were characterized during the summer by the highest concentration (0.022 mg kg -1). The overall concentration of heavy elements in the sediments could be classified into permissible limits according to the standards limits of the World Health Organization WHO (2006).
